When writing PDFs for use at Hyde Park Press, you will get best results by using configuration options that match our Apogee Graphic Workflow software
General Rules fo PDF creation:
- Embed and Subset ALL Fonts
- Create to Acrobat 6 (PDF1.5) compatibility (flatten all transparency issues)
- Allow 5 mm bleed all round (if needed)
- Ensure all graphics are in the appropriate colour space (CMYK or Grayscale NOT RGB)
- Offset your trim marks to 12 point (5 mm) and centre page (only include trim marks - no need for for bleed marks, page information etc.)
- Make sure the file is set up as individual pages (not printers pairs or readers spreads)
