History
Experience is the key. When Hyde Park Press started printing in 1930, printing was a craft involving specialised machinery and trained craftsmen. Many things have changed - computers have revolutionised the way we work but one thing has remained constant: the need for highly skilled, experienced craftspeople. At Hyde Park Press we are proud of the accumulated experience of our workforce - ready for the challenges of the business world.

Prepress Today
Hyde Park Press offers a complete prepress solution that is second to none. Conventional and Digital Photography, Comprehensive Design, Artwork and Scanning facilities and our new digital workflow Computer to Plate system. We have total control over each stage of job creation, providing optimum quality, increased efficiency and effective cost control.

Customer Training
A new service offered by Hyde Park Press is to offer on- or off-site training. Getting the files right first time is crucial for efficient operation and we can provide you with the expertise needed. From training in PhotoShop on how to achieve the best results from your pictures, to setting up your job in Quark Xpress, or InDesign we can tailor-make a small training package that will help you increase your knowledge.

Design Services
From logo design to corporate identity, professional design is very important. Our award-winning skills in design will make sure your project stands out in the crowd. We will work WITH you to produce the product you want. No stress, no fuss, just top quality design without the spin. Typesetting, Layout and Preparation Whether it is file preparation from scratch or making sure your supplied files 'behave themselves', our skilled Prepress professionals will make sure your job is prepared correctly and efficiently. Our Prepress workflow is extremely powerful and will produce ultimate quality work with a minimum of fuss.

Photography
Unlike most printers, we offer a complete photographic service. For product shots we have a small studio and can utilise either digital or conventional photography. Location shoots are also catered for and professional quality creative photography is guaranteed.

Scanning
The highest possible quality is ensured from our super high end drum scanner. Capable of handling large prints and transparencies up to A2 size, our Crosfield scanner consistently produces quality scans for every occasion. Both our colour and black and white scans are superb ... a difference you can really see. The scanning area also specialises in processing and colour correcting your digital pictures to ensure the best quality achievable.

FTP Service
We offer an FTP service for clients who need to send large files to us across the internet. We will provide you with a secure log-in and password so that you can send us your electronic files without worrying about the size limitations of normal emails. Direct from your desktop to ours, this is the quickest way to move larger files. Please contact us for more details or a request for FTP access.

Proofing
The colour proofs produced with our Apogee workflow are very accurate. Extensive fingerprinting and monitoring of printing machinery and proofing devices ensures that we can produce on press what you have approved on the high resolution proof.

CTP (Computer to Plate)
Our Computer to Plate equipment enables us to reproduce fine detail with no loss of quality. The streamlined AGFA system is fast, clean and environmentally sound, producing consistent results every time. We can use conventional screen ruling at 200 lines per inch or the new superior Sublima screening which enables us to run jobs in excess of 300 line screen with no extra effort on the printing press.
