A new book called Now I can smell the orange blossom! was launched at the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Services Conference at Adelaide Convention Centre.
Minister John Hill joined mental health professionals across Australia and New Zealand to launch a new book that tells of triumph over adversity.
This book is a book of real life stories of twenty-one people that managed to quit tobacco while living with a mental illness. Each story is a powerful record of the challenges overcome and the experience gained while tackling one of life’s most challenging addictions.
“The stories in this book tell of great courage, ingenuity, creativity and wisdom. They are full of hope and wonderful life changing achievements” says Minister Hill.
The book also contains over 50 beautiful pieces of art, photography and poetry that have been contributed by the storytellers, Hyde Park Press has graphically designed the book and every page is beautiful and a joy to read.
Maxie Ashton said all involved in creating the book were really happy with the end result and the support of Richard Koch, Evasio Spagnuolo and the team at Hyde Park Press.
